Biike 2012

Biikebrennen ist eines der Highlights auf Sylt. Wenn das Fass fällt, gilt der Winter als vorüber.
In Tinnum hat es diese Jahr ziemlich lange gedauert, bis es fiel. Ich hoffe das bedeutet nicht, dass sich der Winter noch lange hinzieht.
Biikebrennen is one of the highlights of Sylt. If the barrel drops, the winter is passed as.

Ich bin mir nicht sicher über die Funktion dieses Hakens mit der Ritter-Büste. Vielleicht zum Sichern eines Fensterladens, den gibt es aber nicht mehr an dem Kontrollhäuschen am Strandübergang Käpt´n-Christiansen-Straße.
I'm not sure about the function of this hook with the knight's bust. Maybe to fix a window shutter, but there is no one anymore at the control hut on the beach transition Captain-Christiansen Road.

Westerland an einem Morgen Anfang Dezember. Ruhig und beschaulich. Nach den Stürmen in den letzten Tage sieht das ein wenig anders aus, vom Strand ist nicht viel übrig geblieben.
