Parallel zum Kunsthandwerkermarkt findet alljährlich ein Büchermarkt in der alten Böttjerschen Scheune statt. Die Scheune soll vor dem Verfall gerettet werden und in ein Kulturzentrum umgebaut werden.
The old "Boettjersche" barn, every year in winter there is a book market inside for a weekend. The barn should be saved from ruin and rebuild to a cultural center.

Ich würde ja gerne noch von Herbstsonne sprechen, aber das war heute eher schon Wintersonne. So lädt die Bank vor dem Worpsweder Rathaus nur zum kurzen Verweilen ein.

Plein Air Atelier

Dies könnte auch eine Szene Anfang zwanzigstes Jahrhundert sein. Ist aber vom vergangenem Sommer. Der Worpsweder Maler W.A. hatte während der "Offenen Ateliers" sein Atelier an die Hammewiesen verlegt.Ganz in der Tradition der Alten Meister (Und um gleichzeitig auf den mangelden Atelierraum in Worpswede aufmerksam zu machen).
This could be a scene from the beginning of the 20th century. But it´s not, it´s last summer. Following the tradition of the Old Masters of Worpswede, the artist W.A.did plein air painting during the "Open Studios". (Also to call attention to the missing studios in Worpswede)

Käseglocke

Eine weiterer interessanter Platz in Worpswede. Mitten im Wald versteckt steht die Kläseglocke, das ehemalige Wohnhaus des Schriftsteller  Edwin Koenemann, 1926 nach Entwürfen des Berliner Architekten Bruno Taut erbaut. Heute ist es ein Museum für regionale angewandte Kunst.
Another place of interest in Worpswede. In the middle of the woods you can find the "Cheese cover". The former residence of the author Edwin Koenemann. Build in 1926, architect´s plan by the architect Bruno Taut from Berlin. Today it is a museum for regional art.

Draußen ist so ein grauer, naßer, kalter Herbsttag, dass ich dem ein sonniges Bild entgegen setzen muß. Beim Durchschauen meiner Skizzen fand ich diese Szene aus Florenz, schon etliche Jahre her aber ich vermute mal, dass es da immer noch so aussieht. Ist übrigens der David von Michelangelo, auf der Piazza della Signoria. Aber nur die Kopie. Das Original steht in der Galleria dell'Accademia.
Outside is such a grey, wet and cold day that I have decided to contrast this with a sunny painting. While I was browsing my old sketches, I found this scene from Florence. Long time ago, but I thing it still looks the same. By the way, it´s David from Michelangelo, on the Piazza della Signoria. But only a copy. The original is standing in the Galleria dell'Accademia.

Granatapfel II

Mein Computer ist immer noch down. Aber immerhin habe ich einen Weg gefunden wieder zu posten.
Es ist wieder Granatapfel-Zeit. Und jedes Jahr kaufe ich dann welche, obwohl ich sie gar nicht esse.
Ich lasse sie trocken und sie kommen zu den anderen. Dieser hier ist aber noch frisch.
My computer is still down, but I have found a way to post anyway. Time of the pomgranates. Every year, when they appear in the supermarkets, I buy some of them, although I don´t eat them. I let them dry and put them to the others. But this one is still fresh.

Friseur

Ein kleiner Friseur-Laden in Fairhaven. Ich weiß nicht, ob dieses Erkennungszeichen heute noch wirklich genutzt wird oder ob es hier nur aus nostalgischen Gründen angebracht war. Egal, sieht schön aus.
A little barber shop in Fairhaven. I´m not sure if these identification is still used nowadays, or if it was fixed just for nostalgic reasons in this case. Anyway, looks nice.

Herbst, Mutter Natur greift mal wieder in ihre Farbkästen. Gelb, Rot , Rosa und sämtlich Brauntöne. Fantastisch.

Fenchel

Die meisten benutzen Fenchel nur als Tee bei Krankheiten. Aber es ist auch ein tolles Gemüse, was auch noch sehr schön aussieht.

Kürbisse

Heute habe ich auf einem Bio-Hofladen einen ganzen Wagen voller Kürbisse entdeckt. Wir scheinen uns Halloween zu nächern. Geschmacklich ist Kürbis ja nicht so mein Fall, aber farblich ein Traum.
